Editorial policy

This policy defines how AltMode Desk uses sources, labels evidence, and updates mistakes.

Source use standard

We use manufacturer pages, retailer listings, manuals, and clearly labeled seller specifications. We separate listing-derived facts from editorial interpretation in plain language.

We do not publish claims of lab measurement, hands-on benchmark testing, or guaranteed outcomes unless explicitly stated and evidenced. Current trust pages describe research standards, not completed lab work.

Listing verification workflow

  1. Collect core specs: ports, resolution, brightness, weight, power input, included accessories.
  2. Cross-check the same model across multiple listings or official documents when available.
  3. Flag unclear or conflicting items (for example, single-cable USB-C vs dual-cable requirements).
  4. Publish with labels that show what is documented, what is inferred, and what remains unverified.

Corrections policy

When we confirm an error, we revise the page text and note the correction context on that page where practical. Typical triggers include incorrect port standards, wrong accessory inclusion, or misstated power limits taken from outdated listings.
